Pricing

The recorder is free and the analysis costs less than one lesson.

The FLT app is a free download with the flight recorder, the logbook and automatic landing counts included for every pilot.

A free Fyshh Aero account adds the web dashboard, where your synced flights wait for you on a bigger screen. The Standard subscription, at $19 AUD per month or $199 AUD per year, adds the analysis, instructor comparison, live streaming and web debrief tools that turn the record into training feedback, for less than the cost of a single hour-long lesson with an instructor.

Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. A Standard subscription is per pilot, so a school can put FLT into its syllabus at no cost to the school itself. A school that would rather pay for its students does so month by month from its school account, at $19 AUD per student per month less 10% for one to ten students and 20% for eleven or more, with no annual commitment for a student who moves on; see the flight schools page. The FLT app labels its landing and turn scores provisional while they are being refined.

Questions

Common questions about plans

Do I need an account to use FLT?

Not for the app's own features. Recording, landing counts, wrist reminders and the logbook work without an account and your data stays on your device and in your own iCloud; we hold nothing about you. A free Fyshh Aero account adds flight sync and the web dashboard, and lets you join a flight school's account. The Standard subscription needs an account too, because the analysis, live streaming and web debrief tools depend on it. Our privacy policy sets out exactly what changes when you create one.

Do early testers pay for the Standard subscription?

No. Early testers receive the Standard subscription free for life. It is granted to your Fyshh Aero account automatically when the account matches our early-release records, or by a code from us if it does not.

Does a school need one subscription per student?

The subscription is per pilot, and a school's reference set can be imported by any subscribed student, so a school can adopt FLT at no cost to itself. A school that would rather provide the subscriptions switches its school account to "the school pays": every active student then holds a Standard seat for as long as they are part of the school, billed to the school each month at $19 AUD per student less 10% for one to ten students and 20% for eleven or more. There is no annual fee, so a student who leaves part way through the year is not paid for after that month. Details on the flight schools page.

Is COM included in the subscription?

No. COM is a physical device sold to the school or the student and priced with the first production run. We see it in the same category as a good noise-cancelling headset: a school buys one per aircraft and keeps it as standard equipment, and a licensed pilot keeps their own in the headset case. It works with both plans, and its early-access programme is open now.

What happens to my flights if I stop subscribing?

Nothing. Your flights, counts and logbook stay on your device and in your iCloud, and the free features keep working. The analysis screens become available again if you resubscribe.
